النساء المصابات بمتلازمة التمثيل الغذائي أكثر عرضة للإصابة بأمراض القلب

واشنطن - قنا: كشفت دراسة أمريكية حديثة أن النساء المصابات بمتلازمة التمثيل الغذائي متعددة الغدد الصماء (PMOS) يواجهن خطراً يزيد بأربعة أضعاف للإصابة بأمراض القلب مقارنة بغير المصابات. ومتلازمة التمثيل الغذائي متعددة الغدد الصماء هي حالة هرمونية شائعة معقدة تصيب عدداً كبيراً من النساء، وتؤثر على نمو الشعر، والدورة الشهرية، والخصوبة، والمزاج. وكانت المتلازمة تُعرف سابقاً باسم متلازمة تكيس المبايض، قبل اعتماد الاسم الجديد بهدف الحد من تأخر التشخيص الناتج عن سوء فهم طبيعة المرض، والتركيز المفرط على وجود التكيسات. وبحسب صحيفة "الإندبندنت"...
