تحذير من انقراض طيور البطريق الإفريقية

كيب تاون - وكالات: نفقت آلاف طيور البطريق الإفريقية جوعًا في جنوب إفريقيا، وسط تحذيرات علمية شديدة من انقراض هذا النوع تمامًا بحلول عام 2035، بعدما هوت أعداده بنسبة تقارب 80% خلال العقود الثلاثة الأخيرة نتيجة الصيد الجائر وتغير المُناخ. ورفع الاتحاد الدولي لحفظ الطبيعة تصنيف طائر البطريق الإفريقي رسميًا إلى «مهدد بالانقراض بشدة» هذا العام، حيث لم يتبق منه سوى 32 ألف طائر في البرية، مقارنة بنحو 282 ألف طائر في الخمسينيات، وهو ما يعكس انهيارًا كارثيًا في مستعمرات التكاثر الرئيسية بالقرب من كيب تاون التي سجلت انخفاضًا بنسبة 95% في بعض المناطق. وعزا...
