الأحوال الجوية تؤجل إطلاق "أمازون" لأول أقمارها الاصطناعية لخدمات الإنترنت

تسببت الأحوال الجوية في تأجيل إطلاق شركة التكنولوجيا والتجارة الإلكترونية الأمريكية "أمازون دوت كوم" لأول مجموعة من أقمارها الاصطناعية لخدمات الإنترنت.
وذكرت شركة خدمات إطلاق الأقمار الاصطناعية "يونايتد لونش آليانس" (يو.إل.أيه) أنه "سيتم إعلان موعد الإطلاق الجديد عند تحديده"، وذلك بعدما كان مقرراً إطلاق "أمازون" لنحو 27 قمراً اصطناعياً عبر صاروخ (يو.إل.إيه أطلس) من قاعدة /كاب كانافيرال/ في ولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية.
ويأتي اعتزام "أمازون" إطلاق هذه الأقمار، كجزء من مشروع "كويبر" المملوك لها، بهدف توفير خدمة الإنترنت، عبر إطلاق حوالي 3200 قمر اصطناعي خلال السنوات المقبلة.
ووفقا لرخصة التشغيل، فإنه سيتم إطلاق 1600 قمر من طراز "كويبر" على الأقل بحلول عام 2026 ، فيما تعتبر شركة "سبيس إكس"، اللاعب الرئيسي في سوق إنترنت الأقمار الاصطناعية بشبكة "ستار لينك".
