ذكرت الحكومة البريطانية في بيان اليوم الجمعة أن لندن وقعت اتفاقا مع سويسرا بهدف إنشاء خط سكك حديدية مباشر بين البلدين.
وسيعمل البلدان على تشكيل مجموعة عمل للتغلب على المعوقات التجارية والفنية والأمنية التي تواجه توصيل الخدمة من بريطانيا عبر نفق المانش مرورا بفرنسا وصولا إلى سويسرا.
ويمكن للمسافرين من لندن في الوقت الراهن السفر إلى دول أوروبا على خطوط قطارات مباشرة إلى باريس وبروكسل وأمستردام.
