تنفيذاً لتوجيه حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى (حفظه الله)، غادرة مجموعة البحث والإنقاذ القطرية الدولية التابعة لقوة الأمن الداخلي (لخويا) إلى العاصمة الأفغانية كابول، للمشاركة في جهود إنقاذ المتضررين من الزلزال الذي ضرب شرق أفغانستان. ورافق الفريق أربع طائرات تابعة للقوات الجوية الأميرية القطرية محملة بمستشفيين ميدانيين ومواد غذائية وطبية ومستلزمات إيواء مقدمة من صندوق قطر للتنمية، وذلك تأكيدا على تضامن دولة قطر مع الشعب الأفغاني والتخفيف من معاناته في مواجهة آثار هذه الكارثة
