نجحت الهند اليوم في إطلاق أثقل قمر اصطناعي للاتصالات من أراضيها، إلى مداره الفضائي.
وقال ف. نارايانان رئيس منظمة أبحاث الفضاء الهندية (ISRO) في مركز سريهاريكوتا الفضائي في شرق البلاد إنه تم إطلاق القمر الاصطناعي " CMS-03 "الذي يزن 4,4 طن والمصمم للاتصالات فوق المحيط الهندي والأراضي الهندية إلى الفضاء بنجاح بواسطة صاروخ " LVM3-M5 "الذي كان يجري رحلته الأولى.
وأفادت المنظمة بأن /CMS-03/ هو قمر اصصناعي للاتصالات متعدد النطاقات، سيوفر خدمات تغطي منطقة محيطية واسعة، بما في ذلك اليابسة الهندية.
ويعد صاروخ "LVM3-M5 " نسخة محسنة من الصاروخ الذي أرسل مسبارا هنديا إلى سطح القمر في أغسطس 2023.
