أعلنت منصة «يوتيوب» عن إدخال سلسلة من التغييرات الجوهرية على نظام الفلاتر وأدوات البحث الخاصة بها، وذلك في خطوة تهدف إلى تحسين تجربة المُستخدم وتسهيل الوصول إلى المحتوى وسط الزخم الهائل للفيديوهات القصيرة والطويلة.ووَفقًا للمنصة، فإن من أبرز التحديثات التي تضمنتها إضافةُ خيار «Shorts» كفلتر بحث مستقل ضمن فئة «نوع المحتوى» ، ما يتيح للمستخدمين فصل الفيديوهات القصيرة تمامًا عن نتائج البحث التقليدية، كما تم تعديل تصنيفات المدة الزمنية لتصبح أكثر دقة، حيث تقلصت فئة «الفيديوهات القصيرة جدًا» لتشمل ما هو أقل من 3 دقائق (بدلًا من 4 دقائق سابقًا)، مع إضافة فئة جديدة للمحتوى المتوسط تتراوح بين 3 إلى 20 دقيقة.
