أفادت منظمة (مشروع جوناه) ‌المَعنيَّة بالحفاظ على ‌البيئة بجنوح 15 حوتًا، ما أدى ⁠لنفوق ستة منها ⁠بعد جنوح جماعي في ‍فيرويل سبيت على ساحل ساوث آيلاند في نيوزيلندا، ويستعد المتطوعون لمحاولة إعادة تعويمها. وقبل يوم جنح 55 حوتًا في موقعين في ‌فيرويل سبيت، وهو لسان رملي يبلغ طوله 26 كيلومترًا في الطرف الشمالي من ⁠ساوث آيلاند. وجرت ‌إعادة تعويم معظمها.وقال مشروع جوناه، في بيان على فيسبوك: إن الفرق تتفقد الشواطئ في جولدن باي حيث يقع فيرويل سبيت بحثًا عن حيتان أخرى.
